Nuggets Vs Wolves Game 6

Minnesota Timberwolves Beat Denver Nuggets 106-80, Force Game 6

Towns, Edwards Lead Wolves to Victory

Denver Faces Elimination in Game 6

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards combined for 54 points to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 106-80 victory over the Denver Nuggets in Game 5 of their Western Conference semifinal series on Friday night.

Towns scored 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Edwards added 27 points and 6 rebounds. The victory gives the Wolves a 3-2 lead in the series and forces Game 6 in Denver on Sunday.

The Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic, who had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. However, Jokic had little help from his teammates, as no other Nuggets player scored more than 12 points.

The Wolves' defense was stifling in the first half, holding the Nuggets to just 40 points. Denver's offense never recovered, and the Wolves cruised to a 106-80 victory.

The Nuggets now face elimination in Game 6. They will need to find a way to slow down Towns and Edwards if they want to stay alive in the series.
