New CPI stats released

Average annual consumer price inflation was at 60 per cent in 2023

The average CPI for all urban areas for 2023 compared to 2022 shows an increase with the index rising to 5.3 per cent in March, 5.1 per cent in June and 5.2 per cent in July of 2024.

Consumer inflation cooled in March following a two-month upswing, with headline inflation softening to 5.3 per cent in March.
